Lack of Shadow Shifter means getting knocked back more, which means more climbing and repositioning, which means less DPS uptime. Night Walkers have higher DPS than Night Lords between Quad Star (vs Triple Throw) and Vanish (130% damage boost). Requires ammo (stars) – increased cost and reduced USE inventory space, need to recharge between bosses Low HP at earlier levels (need HB at the beginning for Wulin, Toad, HT/CHT) + Alchemist – attack potions (apples/narcs) lasts 50% longer + High avoidability (high LUK + Enveloping Darkness) Night Walkers are functionally very similar to Night Lords, and share many of the Pros/Cons noted by in her NL guide: We'll be moving forward under the assumption that this is not your first character. If you're interested in Night Walkers but this would be your first character, I'd suggest making a mage first and then revisiting this guide once you have sufficient funding. They require very specific gear with awkward stat distributions that can be difficult to resell/reuse, pricey ammunition, and a good portion of their damage is locked behind one of the most expensive mastery books in the game (Shadow Stars 40). That being said, Night Walkers are not cheap to build. If you're the kind of player that swears by tier lists, Night Walker may be the class for you. Leveling is also a breeze under the right conditions. They are constantly top 3 on DPS charts and require very little learning or practice to play well. Night Walkers are one of the mechanically easiest and highest-damaging classes in DreamMS.
